ABOUT BRAD
Teaching music professionally since 1997; as graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale School of Music with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, I have been teaching the musicians of tomorrow for over 20 years. I'm at home both on the concert stage as well as with a marching band or drum corps on the gridiron!
I take pride in developing the whole musician, by fostering a love of music and exploration to guide them throughout life. Using an approach that includes technique, standard literature, history and music theory my students learn to appreciate the nuances of music, and develop an awareness of musics' origins, how it influences life today, and opens the doors to understanding the potential of music in the future to make them a more versatile performing musician.
In addition to the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Brad provides extensive knowledge of instrumental technique / pedagogy & Music Theory / Composition. In addition to his work as a music educator, Brad is also a published composer for solo and ensemble instrumental music. Currently, Brad teaches in the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, Colorado, as well as privately at Stapleton Music Lab in Denver, Colorado.
In addition to his work as an educator, Brad also performs regularly as Principal Tuba with the Aurora Symphony Orchestra, Denver Concert Band, and University of Denver - Pioneer Pep Band.
